The City Wide Cleanup will be held on Wednesday, April 16 and Friday, April 18, 2008.

This is for residents inside the city limits of East Prairie paying for trash pickup on their water bills.

All items are to be placed on the curb on the cleanup day with regular trash for pickup.

NO ITEMS ARE TO BE SET OUT BEFORE SATURDAY, APRIL 5, 2008

Absolutely no construction, contractor, commercial, business or freon appliance waste will be taken during this cleanup. This includes cabinets, boards, linoleum, shingles, ceiling tiles, etc.

Each resident will have one chance only to dispose of bulky rubbish. All items must be close together in one area next to the curb. Do not place items you do not want disposed of close to rubbish or items you want to be hauled off as they may be taken by mistake. The City of East Prairie and CWI, Inc., will not be responsible or replace any items taken if they are next to the curb on pickup day. All 55 gallon barrels to be thrown away must be completely empty due to the fact that they are too heavy for our employees to try to handle without possible injury.

All items will have to be placed on the curb the night before pickup. There will be no return trips. There will be no exceptions to this.

The items listed below will be handled separately. CWI will pick up the following items: Residents must call CWI at 1-800-585-6033 and leave address before pick up day.

1. Clothes Washing Machines

2. Clothes Drying Machines

3. Dishwashing Machines

4. Hot Water Heaters - these must be completely drained before pickup

5. Gas or Electric Cook Stoves

6. Household Refrigerators

ITEMS THAT ARE BANNED FOR PICKUP

Absolutely no yard waste of any kind will be picked up. This includes: limbs, leaves, shrub trimmings, grass, and old garden debris.

CWI will not pickup any tires or lead acid batteries as they have been banned from the landfills in the State of Missouri.
