The Annual Dogwood-Azalea Beauty Pageants will be held Monday, April 14, 2008 in the Clara Drinkwater Newnam Auditorium in Charleston.

Entry deadline for the pageant is Wednesday, April 2.

The pageant will begin at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 5:45. Admission is $3 per person (contestants and children under 2 enter free of charge).

Entry fee is $25 for the beauty portion of the contest.

The pageant is open to girls ages 3-18 from all communities. Age divisions are: 3-5 years, 6-8 years, 9-12 years, 13-15 years, and 16-18 years.

Attire for ages 3-12 is Sunday Best/Spring Casual; attire for ages 13-18 is Formal Wear only.

Eight additional special event categories are also available for an additional entry fee of $5 per event.

Divisions are: Most Photogenic, Best Dressed, Best Model, Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Hair, and Prettiest Smile.

Contestants must submit 2 non-returnable wallet size photos with their entry form.
